I figured I’d toss out a few quick notes on the double stack Glock magholders I purchased from magholder.com.

I picked up two of these, left hand rear facing (right hand forward facing), and wish that I had gotten one of each. The magholders do a good job keeping the magazine in place as you might expect, and vertical alignment is nice. The retention is tight, but not too tight. The vertical alignment is great for concealment and makes it much easier to keep a full size pistol magazine exactly where you’d like it.
My big complaint is that I wish the magholders were a little wider, the full size double stack magazines tend to stick out quite a bit if you have them at say, 7 o’clock or something that is not 12, 3, 6, or 9. If the magholder itself were a little wider, it appears it would hold the magazine a little tighter and give better concealment.
I’d give these a 4/5 and would suggest anyone in the market for a way to hold a spare magazine on their person check them out. It appears that Mark now offers models for Sigs, XDs, Glocks, M&Ps, and (as before) 1911s and small single stack pocket rockets.
